About Us
Journeys began in 2003 by two health care professionals looking to provide services fitting for “The Great of the Greats.” Recognizing the potential and destiny for this population they named the company Royal Journeys. We know that each of our participants are indeed on a “Royal Journey” and that we have the need, honor, and obligation to serve them. What we did not expect was that we would learn from them so much more than we can ever teach them. Over the decades, we have been blessed to work with hundreds of participants and their families. Each of these journeys has been full of memories, challenges, love, and miracles. As we continue to grow we have never forgotten our roots, our reason for being in business. We remain committed to providing the premier developmental therapy services to the greatest people in East Idaho.
Journeys services are based on the principles of independence, acceptance, and inclusion. We provide skill training by experienced, clean, and well trained professionals. We have an exciting recreation program centered on community participation and socialization. Our facilities provide an environment centered on the participants. However, it is our unmatched company culture that makes Journeys so special. While we use many of the same evidence based practices as other agencies, it is the feel of our services that sets us apart.
At Journeys, your voice is heard. We provide services wherever you need them- whether that is in one of our facilities, in the community, or in your home. Participants and their families guide the therapy through helping set our objectives, taking place in the planning and scheduling process, and receiving contact from the agency on progress and milestones. We believe in an integrated experience where we work together for increased independence and improved skills. We invite you to come and tour our facilities, visit with the staff, and experience the Journeys difference.
