Childrens Services

Medicaid has expanded the variety and scope of our services through its new Enhanced Children System Redesign. We offer the full spectrum of services available and have certified staff to meet your family’s needs. Journeys has always believed in a team approach and invites each family to visit with their Clinical Supervisor in selecting which services are beneficial for their needs. Services are available in the home, community, or our facilities.

Behavior Intervention

Habilitative Intervention is Behavioral and Daily Living Skills training provided by experienced professionals. Journeys has some of the best intervention staff in the State! Many are school teachers, licensed social workers, parents of special needs kids, etc. These professionals teach your children through evidence based practices while focusing on specific, individualized needs. This service is usually done in your home or the community.

Community Supports

Support services were designed to help your child be integrated into the community with their natural peers. We provide support staff to help them participate in activities such as boy scouts, music lessons, sporting events, and community functions. This service is a great opportunity to reinforce and practice the skills taught during Habilitative Intervention or at home.

Respite Care

The one word to describe respite services at Journeys is “Fun.” We offer exciting group and individual respite options including field trips, activities, crafts, parties, and more! Respite can be done in groups at our facilities after school or can be done at home when needed.

Family Education & Family Training

Family Training compliments Habilitative Intervention in bridging the gap between skills taught at Journeys with continuation and reinforcement in the home. Our skilled Intervention staff gives families the methods and tools to continue and advance the progress of the child. We recommend Family Training for every child attending Journeys.

Therapeutic Consultation

Therapuetic Consultation is an opportunity to consult with our team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Our consultants are availabe by appointment for Behavior Consultations, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Plan Evaluation.

Crisis Intervention

Journeys is on call for those emergencies when you need a trained professional to work through a crisis with your child. Talk with your Clinical Supervisor to receive the phone numbers for on call staff in your area.
